Advanced Junior Naturalist Club at Heritage Park Sponsored by Farmington Area Optimists Club

Enhance your child’s interest in science and nature with the Advanced Junior Naturalist Club, which meets every Thursday, July 19 through August 23, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. for ages 6 to 12.

The six-week program focuses on topics including outdoor survival, pond exploration, insects, animals, art in nature, and more.  Each child will receive their own Nature Discovery Pack full of real Naturalist equipment and an Advanced Junior Naturalist Certificate.

Enjoy a summer treat and awards celebration during the last class on August 23.  It’s also a great way for your child to spend the afternoon after a Farmington Hills Summer Camp, as any campers will be supervised for the 30 minutes in between camp and class.

The program is designed as a drop-off class.  Please dress your child for the weather and exploring outdoors.  Class meets at the Nature Center.  The fee is $40 per child for the six-week class.  Register at https://recreg.fhgov.com or at the Costick Center.

The Farmington Hills Nature Center in Heritage Park is located at 24915 Farmington Road, between 10 and 11 Mile Roads.  Call the Nature Center at 248-477-1135 or email asmith@fhgov.com for more information about the Junior Naturalist Club or other upcoming Nature Center programs.
