Police Department Hires New Officers July 5, 2018

Farmington Hills Police Chief Charles Nebus is pleased to announce the hiring of two new police officers with the Department.  The arrival of the new officers was celebrated with family and friends during a swearing in ceremony held on June 29, 2018 at the Farmington Hills Police Department. 
Officer Breeanna Streber was hired by the Farmington Hills Police Department in July 2015 as a Police Service Aide (PSA).  As a PSA, she was assigned to administrative, clerical, and other duties that did not require full police powers.  Officer Streber earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Saginaw Valley State University in 2012.   She completed the Oakland Police Academy in June 2018.  
Officer Christine McKinney earned a Bachelor of Integrated Studies Degree from Oakland University in 2013.  She completed the Oakland Police Academy in June 2018.  Prior to making the career change to law enforcement, Officer McKinney worked as a cardiac telemetry monitoring technician, accounting manager, and financial manager. 
Both officers are currently assigned to the Patrol Division of the Operations Bureau as part of the Field Training program.
