Rent and Utility Assistance for Residents with COVID-19 Hardships

The City of Farmington Hills is dedicating federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding to help eligible low-income residents pay up to three months of rent and utilities that are past due because of a temporary job loss, reduction in work hours, or other income hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Community Development Block Grant Documents – The City of Farmington Hills applies for and administers the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Documents below are part of the administration of the funds.

5 Year Consolidated Plan

The Consolidated Plan is a plan of five years, which describes community needs, resources, priorities and proposed activities to be undertaken under the city’s CDBG program.

The Annual Action Plan describes funding levels and activities to be undertaken during the upcoming program year for the CDBG program to address the priority needs and objectives outlined in the Consolidated Plan.

Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report – The CAPER describes the Annual Action Plan activities and accomplishments that occurred between July 1st and June 30th of each program year for the CDBG program. The CAPER is considered a year end summary of the prior program year.
