CITY OF FARMINGTON HILLS
Risk Limiting Audit
 
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Farmington Hills Clerk’s Office will be participating in the State of Michigan’s Risk Limiting Audit of the November 2020 General Election on FRIDAY, JANUARY 15, 2021 at 9:30AM at the Farmington Hills City Hall in the Council Chamber, 31555 W. Eleven Mile Road, Farmington Hills, Michigan. 

The Michigan Department of State (MDOS) has taken the initial steps of the audit process which involves using a random number, generated by rolling 20 ten-sided dice, to plug into the auditing software to randomly select ballots that will be pulled from any one of Michigan’s 1,520 local election jurisdictions and hand-reviewed.

The randomly selected ballots for the City of Farmington Hills will be retrieved and logged per instructions provided by the State on Friday, January 15, 2021 starting at 9:30am. The process will be aired live over cable (Spectrum channel 203 and AT&T channel 99) and posted to the city’s website (www.fhgov.com) the following week.

Once the process has been completed in each county, The Michigan Department of State will announce the results of the comparison between the randomly selected hand-reviewed ballots and the statewide machine-tabulated totals.
