The Farmington Hills Fire Department, utilizing a combination of career and part-paid personnel in an efficient and effective manner, has the responsibility:
- To preserve the resources of the community through fire prevention and suppression.
- To reduce the adverse effects of injury or sudden illness through quality emergency medical service as first responders.
- To provide the necessary services during natural or man-made disasters.
- To respond to the community as requested in the spirit of the fire service.
The Farmington Hills Fire Departments provides fire and emergency medical services (EMS) as well as fire prevention and safety education, and Fire Code enforcement.
Services are provided by firefighters who operate out of five fire stations strategically located throughout the community. Stations #1, #2, #4, and #5, are staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week with Station #3 being staffed 7:30 AM to Midnight seven days a week..
