The City of Farmington Hills Special Services Department provides recreational and cultural opportunities and events for individuals of all ages, abilities and interests.

Utilizing the beautiful park system, the many city facilities and various public schools, the Department of Special Services takes great pride in offering one of the most well-rounded group of recreation and cultural programs in the state.

The Department of Special Services Scholarship Fund provides city residents access to our park facilities and programs regardless of their economic situation. Our scholarship program provides income eligible youth, ages 17 & under, exposure to positive experiences, active lifestyles, and mentors, as well as opportunities to gain and refine life skills, and to develop positive personal and social assets.

The number of city residents who apply and qualify for Special Services Scholarships continues to grow and we are committed to provide this service for our community members in need. Some restrictions do apply. See below for application and guidelines
