Fishing Pier

The Founders Fishing Pier project was fully funded through a grant from the Bosch Community Fund.
The project involved; constructing an ADA accessible boardwalk, fishing pier, seating areas, and interpretive signs.  Farmington Hills Special Services Nature Center offers interpretive programming and hands-on learning activities that focus on pond ecology, shoreline restoration, wildlife conservation, and the sustainability of the watershed.  Camp participants and students in the After School Program take part in pond dipping, bird and marine biology, and fishing. The Optimist Club of Farmington/Farmington Hills and the City of Farmington Hills Special Services Department conducts learn-to-fish classes on the pier as part of the Project Fish Program.

Founders Fishing Pier is open to the public for catch and release fishing.
