Free Summer Concert Series “Star in the Park” Returns to Heritage Park in the City of Farmington Hills Starting June 13

WHAT: Free summer concerts return to Heritage Park in the City of Farmington Hills
during the annual Stars in the Park, which has connected community members with accessible cultural arts opportunities for more than 30 years. On select Thursdays June through August, community members of all ages will have the chance to relax and unwind in nature, while soaking in songs with friends and family.

The concerts are free and open to the public at the outdoor amphitheater in picturesque Heritage Park, where concertgoers can bring blankets, lawn chairs and a meal to enjoy while enjoying diverse performances throughout the summer.

The series kicks off at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 13 with the Farmington Concert Band and wraps up on Thursday, Aug. 15 with the Farmington Chorus. Other concerts include:
• June 20: Brother Crowe, a four-piece Celtic and bluegrass combo.
• June 27: LL7 Latin Jazz, a seven-piece jazz group with Latin flair.
• July 11: Toppermost Beatles Tribute, complete with costumes.
• July 25: FCB Big Band, an 18-piece jazz band, playing the classics.
• Aug. 8: Indian Music Night, featuring a variety of local musicians and dancers, who will share cultural performances.

WHO: Community members of all ages are invited to feel the music at Stars in the Park, hosted by the City of Farmington Hills Special Services Department Cultural Arts Division.
The City of Farmington Hills has the largest municipal cultural arts division in the state, which coordinates diverse year-round programming for community members of all ages, abilities, interests and backgrounds.

WHEN: Select Thursdays from June through August, beginning June 13. Each show begins at 7 p.m.
