(Camp Counselor) Performing Arts Camp Assistant

Job Description

Under the direction of the Farmington Hills Special Services Cultural Arts Supervisor, the Cultural Arts Coordinators, and Performing Arts Camp Specialist the Performing Arts Camp Assistant will supervise and interact with children through performing arts-based curriculum in specialty camps. The Camp Assistant will also aid in training and providing professional support to peer Performing Camp Aides and/or Performing Arts Camp Workers within the camp program.  Camp Assistant will assist the Performing Arts Camp Specialist in facilitating projects and activities.  The Camp Assistant will provide a clean and safe environment for children by identifying and responding to camper behavior issues and assisting with cleaning. Camp Assistants work with Performing Arts Camp Specialists to implement weekly schedules and maintain accurate program records. Camp Assistants must be alert and aware of themselves, the campers, and their surroundings.
