Absent Voter Ballots Next Week for Nov. 5 General Election
All registered voters are eligible to receive absent voter ballots by application
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (Sept. 20, 2024) — The Farmington Hills City Clerk’s Office will start mailing absent voter ballots next week for the Nov. 5 General Election. These ballots will be sent to voters who have already submitted an absent voter ballot application and voters on the City’s permanent absent voter ballot list.
Voters who have not yet applied for an absent voter ballot can submit an application by mail, drop box, email to FHClerk@fhgov.com or in person at the City Clerk’s Office. A voter requesting a ballot in person at the City Clerk’s Office will receive their ballot that same day. If you plan to pick your ballot up in person, please bring photo ID. If you do not have photo ID, you will be required to complete an Affidavit of Person Not in Possession of Photo ID to receive your ballot.
Options for returning an absent voter ballot:
- By mail, in the accompanying purple return envelope. Postage is pre-paid.
- In any of the City’s five ballot drop boxes (map):

§ Division of Public Works: 27245 Halsted Road
§ Fire Station #1: 35725 Nine Mile Road
§ Fire Station #3: 29260 Grand River Ave.
· In person to the City Clerk’s Office, located inside Farmington Hills City Hall at 31555 W. Eleven Mile Road.
Absent voter ballots can be tracked online through the Secretary of State at https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/Voter/Index, including when the ballot was mailed and when the returned ballot was received by the Clerk’s Office.
