City of Farmington Hills to Host American Red Cross “Battle of the Badges” Blood Drive on Sept. 11

In honor of first responders, donate blood and help save lives on Wednesday, Sept. 11

 

WHAT:         Respond to the call to give blood at the “Battle of the Badges” blood drive hosted in the City of Farmington Hills, in collaboration with the American Red Cross. The goal for the blood drive is to collect at least 70 pints of blood, which will assist approximately 140 local hospital patients. Attempting donors will receive an exclusive Red Cross raglan shirt, while supplies last.

 

How to Participate:

·         Visit RedCrossBlood.org to schedule an appointment using sponsor code "costickcenter" or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

·         Streamlined check-in: Complete health history questions in advance at RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass.

 

WHO:           Hosted by City of Farmington Hills, in collaboration with American Red Cross. Ages 16 and up are encouraged to participate in this vital community effort.

 

Donors Ages 18 and Up:

·         Minimum weight requirement for donors ages 18 and up is 115 lbs.

Student Eligibility (16-17 Years):

·         All high school students must meet height and weight requirements.

·         16-year-olds must provide a completed parental consent form.
